I don't know about you... but tis summer, and once again, I am in love... with icy pops, that is :)  These are by far my favorite summer cool down treat.  The best flavors EVER are mango, coconut, and of course, the classic "bomb pop".  Yes... I do love those.  The strangest part is that I eat them in the pool, which some people actually find odd... I'll have to look into that.  Why am I talking about frozen food products?  Because it's 90 HACKIN' DEGREES HERE, THAT'S WHY!!!  I mean seriously, I.  Need.  Rain.
In other news... my garden is doing quite well this year.  My dog is fixated with the sprinkler and stands under it every time we turn it on, attempting to swallow as much water as possible.  She jumps for it, and it's quite silly to watch.  Anyway, we planted spices for the first time this year (dill, parsley, oregano, ect.).  They're tasty!  My sunflowers are simply gorgeous!  We planted them late, and they're almost three feet tall now.  No word yet on the zuchini, cucumbers, or spaghetti squash... I'll let ya know.
Oh, and today is ALLIE-SAURUS' B-DAY PARTY!!!  So in about a half hour I'll be off at a grad party (last one, thank god) and at five I'll be at the YMCA to swim!  Yay!  I'm quite spiffy today, ehhh?

in case you haven't noticed... i feel very extremely responsible as american to share my political spin on things.  yes, i'm smart.  whoulda thunk it, right?  anyway, i'm not at all afraid to say what i feel the need to say... so i'll say it.
-i don't understand why everyone is so against gay marriage.  they didn't do anything wrong.  they just have different preferences.  that doesn't mean that we have a right to deny them the right to get married.  same-sex marriages have just as much ability to bring up well-raised, respectful children as a man and a woman.  god made us the way we are, and we shouldn't fight that.
-why do we feel the need to kick immigrants out of "our" country.  we did the exact same thing with native americans... except we weren't blocked by a fence and guards.  enough said.
